The Just Media Research Foundation is pleased to announce the 1st Media Award in Urdu journalism. This award aims to recognize excellence in Urdu journalism across various categories, seeks to honour the impactful work of journalists who have demonstrated a commitment to ground reporting.

We invite Urdu journalists who have excelled in ground reporting/ feature writing/ storytelling and have reported on any of the above beats/categories to submit their work for consideration.

This award recognizes outstanding contributions across these categories, and we welcome submissions from professionals working in both traditional print media (such as newspapers and magazines) and digital platforms, including YouTube channels.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Submissions must be in the Urdu language.
  • Entries should be original works published between July 31st, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
  • Open to journalists working in both print media (newspapers, magazines) and digital platforms (including YouTube channels).
  • Only ground reporting and investigative pieces related to the specified categories will be
    considered.
